"Absolutely incredible work. They inspected my drainage before even talking about seeding, found issues I didn't know existed, and fixed everything. Grass came in thick and green within two weeks. Best contractor I've ever used."
"Had a 3-acre lot cleared and rough graded. These guys knew exactly what they were doing — separated the timber, removed every stump, and left the property cleaner than I expected. Honest pricing, zero surprises."
"My gravel driveway was a disaster — potholes, washouts, uneven everywhere. SkyShine came out, recovered all the buried stone, regraded it properly, and it looks brand new. Saved me thousands versus replacing everything."
Common Questions
Hydroseeding is a process where a mixture of seed, mulch, fertilizer, lime, and tackifier is sprayed directly onto prepared soil. It's significantly more affordable than sod, establishes more uniformly, and provides better erosion control on slopes. Unlike sod, hydroseeding is not "spray and forget" — proper preparation, drainage inspection, and consistent watering are critical to success.
Yes — approximately 90–95% of the properties we work on have heavy Georgia red clay. We use liquid lime on every hydroseeding job to reduce acidity and improve soil conditions. If the ground is compacted, we will not spray until we've completed proper preparation using Harley rakes, scarifiers, or tillers. Spraying compacted clay without prep is one of the leading causes of hydroseed failure.
Most lawns should be watered approximately 4 times per day in short cycles during early establishment. The goal is to keep the mulch layer consistently damp — not soaked and not dry. Even 5–10 minute watering cycles help. Failure to water properly is one of the biggest reasons hydroseed jobs fail. When watered correctly, you'll typically see vivid green color, rapid growth, and strong uniformity.
Most drainage problems in Georgia begin with poor grading. Bowl-shaped yards, low spots, compacted red clay, and insufficient slope all prevent water from flowing away from your property. If left untreated, standing water leads to lawn damage, erosion, washouts, and eventually foundation issues. Solutions may include regrading, swales, French drains, or culverts depending on your specific situation.
Yes. We separate metal, yard debris, construction debris, and concrete, then rotate 40-yard containers throughout the project to keep things moving. Our goal is to leave you with organized cleanup, hauled debris, and improved property usability with minimal involvement on your end.
